Artist Statement:
My art is my artist’s statement. It reflects the ups and downs of my life—my resilience, curiosity and desire to help others.
I am currently creating healing dolls, earrings, each pair a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art. My most recent silk fusion works emerged during my recovery from Long COVID—a life-altering illness that reshaped not only my health, but how I see the world and express myself through art.
Illness is a master teacher. If you’re paying attention, it teaches you what truly matters—how to listen, how to slow down, and how to be present in the moment. It reminds you that nothing is guaranteed and that beauty often lies in what is fleeting.
When I’m not making art, I enjoy music, books, hiking in the mountains, quiet evenings watching films and series with my wonderful husband, and advocating for those still struggling with Long COVID.
Life is good. Life is impermanent. So I try to savor each breath, choose my words with care, and meet others—and myself—with kindness.
My earrings are available at Loveland Museum (Loveland, CO), Harwood Museum (Taos, NM) and Form & Concept (Santa Fe, NM).
